Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have managed to win two out of the two matches they played in Indian Premier League (IPL) so far. But CSK skipper MS Dhoni’s form is a matter of concern. Dhoni has not been able to score freely. In the first match against Mumbai Indians (MI), he got out for 5 runs, followed by a slow innings of 25 runs from 28 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He is raring to do good with the bat and increase his scoring rate.
In the video, he can be seen taking on CSK bowlers Shardul Thakur, South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir and Harbhajan Singh. CSK need a middle-order batsman who can hold one end and also score at a brisk rate. Dhoni is one of the hardest hitters of the ball in CSK and his performance in previous tournaments have proved the same.
Here’s the video of Dhoni showing no mercy towards his teammates —
CSK will be taking on Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali in their third match of the tournament. CSK need their star players to be on the top of their game and Dhoni most of all. Due to Cauvery protests and shoes being hurled at players in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai during their match with KKR, all of CSK’s home games have now been shifted to MCA International Stadium, Pune.
Dhoni is familiar with the Pune pitches where they will be playing the rest of the IPL home games. His two-year stint with Rising Pune Supergiants will prove to be useful. Earlier, he was seen testing his shooting skills, trying to cool off in the time between CSK’s IPL matches.
