No one knows the rains better than the Mumbaikars. From streets flooded with water to the endless off days, if you like monsoons, Mumbai is your place. Granted that Mumbai rains do have a flip side, as the endless rains bring the city life to a grinding halt every year, but who wouldn’t trade some comfort for the sheer happiness that rains bring, especially when it’s coupled with warm tea and Samosas?
If you happen to love Mumbai rains as much as we do, now you have another reason to celebrate (other than the monsoons of course!). Mumbai rains now have their own emoji. You can use #MumbaiRains and #indiarains to use this emoji. The new emoji features a blue-coloured umbrella which is tilted towards the right.
Mumbai rains emojis were launched by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday. “Glad to launch #MumbaiRains #बारिश monsoon emoji by @TwitterIndia from this tweet! Wishing everyone a happy and safe monsoon! #indiarains,” he wrote in a tweet announcing the news.

However, this is not the first time that Twitter India has come up with an interesting emoji celebrating life and festivities in India. The micro-blogging website last year unveiled an orange-coloured Diya as an emoticon for Deepawali. Users could use #HappyDiwali to use the emoticon in their tweets.

Apart from this, Twitter had also launched a special awards emoji to mark Filmfare awards this year. The emoji could be used with #FilmfareAwards, #JioFilmfareAwards and #FilmfareAwards 2017.

Also, Twitter introduced a special hand emoji to state elections in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Punjab, Manipur and Uttarakhand in February this year.
