New crime series, The Sinner is 'insanely wild', and Twitter is hooked already

The show apparently got a viewership of 3.5 million for the first episode and that speaks volumes of show's upcoming popularity. Twitter went crazy.

A new American series, The Sinner has just released and looks like the audience is already hooked after the pilot episode. The show is a crime drama and based on the bestselling book that goes by the same name written by Petra Hammesfahr. Starring Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman, the first episode left people shocked after the gory murder of a young man by the female protagonist. No one knows why she killed the man, not even the police but the draw of the show was that even she doesn’t know the reason (!!) and that has left everyone perplexed.

Twitter was already buzzing as the first episode left people in disbelief at what they saw and left them wanting for more. The show apparently got a viewership of 3.5 million for the first episode and that itself speaks volumes about the show’s upcoming popularity.

Even as it was horrifying watching a woman, who was just some time back enjoying herself on the beach with her family, suddenly getting up and stabbing a guy in the neck, the show seem to have scared and at the same time mesmerised the audience. Twitter was all praises for the show.

Below are some of the tweets. But the trailer first.
