NEET Result 2017: Result declared! Here is how you can check your score

The result of NEET was expected to release on June 8, but due to the number of petitions filed demanding the cancellation of the exam, there was a delay in the declaration of the results

Wait for students who are expecting their National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) result has finally ended as the Central Board of Secondary Education which conducts the NEET exam declared the result on June 23. As per the official website, the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test was expected to be out on June 22 but later the notification was taken down by the website leading to much confusion.

The result of NEET was expected to release on June 8,  but due to the number of petitions filed demanding the cancellation of the exam, there has been a delay in declaration of the results. Madras High Court stayed the NEET results as petitioners claim the difference in the question paper. CBSE then filed a petition in the Supreme Court, the apex court then ordered that the results of NEET 2017 should be declared by June 26. With this, the SC stayed Madra High Court interim order restraining publication of results of NEET. On June 15, the CBSE had released its answer keys which remained on the official website till June 16.

Here’s how you can check your NEET 2017 results:

  • Log on to the official website cbseneet.nic.in
  • Click on ‘NEET 2017 result and rank’ tab
  • You will be directed to a different page.
  • Fill in the roll number and other required fields
  • Click Submit
  • The results will be displayed on your computer screen
  • Candidates can also download the results and take a printout for future reference

The NEET (UG)-2017 Exam was conducted on May 7. As many as 11.5 lakh medical aspirants appeared in the exam. Out of the total number of students who gave the exam, 10.5 lakh students took the exam either in Hindi or English. Meanwhile, around 1.50 lakh student gave the exam in eight vernacular languages.
