Samsung has launched a new variant of its flagship device– Samsung Galaxy S8+ in India. The new variant of Galaxy S8+ features 6GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory. Priced at Rs 74,990, the phone will be available for purchase on e-commerce website Flipkart from June 2. As a part of the introductory offer, the company is offering a free wireless charger to all its customers.
“The new Galaxy S8+ variant with its best in class 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory is the ultimate device for users who aspire to explore new possibilities, are always on top of their game, and for whom, multi-tasking is a way of life,” Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said in a statement to IANS.
To recall, Samsung had launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India last month. However, the Korean electronics giant had launched the 4GB RAM variant of its devices at the time of its launch.
As far as the design is concerned, Galaxy S8+ features a 6.2-inch quad-HD Super AMOLED display which is protected by IP68 dust and water resistant technology. The device features Infinity Display along with a stunning glossy look.
In terms of specifications, both the smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 8895 system on chip (SoC) and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The 4GB RAM variant of Galaxy S8+ comes with 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card and is priced at Rs 64, 900. Galaxy S8+ sports a 12MP rear camera with face detection technology and selective focus and an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC for connectivity and is backed by 3,500 mAh lithium ion battery.
