Facebook is remodeling its mobile app and making some much-needed design changes to its platform. The updates will not only make the app look cleaner but also increase the readability on the platform. “In order to make News Feed more conversational and easier to read and navigate, we’ll be making a few updates to its design over the coming weeks,” Facebook wrote in a blog post.
As a part of its latest updates, the tech giant is simplifying the way comments appear under a post. The new style will make it simpler for the users to understand which comments are a direct reply to another person.
Facebook is changing the look of its News Feed. The update will make it easier for the users to read the text in the News Feed. For starters, the link previews will be larger and icons including ‘Like’, ‘Comment’ and ‘Share’ will be bigger and easier to tap on. Apart from this, the profile pictures will now be displayed in circles than the traditional square box. These updates will be rolled out to the Facebook app across the globe over the coming weeks.
Apart from Instagram, the company is also adding a brand new feature to Instagram. The company is adding threaded comments to the Instagram app. Just like in the Facebook app, threaded comments will help users to keep a track of conversations and make it easier for users to respond to a specific comment. This update will be rolled out as part of the version 24 of the Instagram app for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play in the coming weeks.
