Good news folks! Airtel is extending its ‘Holiday Suprise’ offer for another three months. As a part of the offer, all Airtel postpaid users will get up to 30GB additional data free for three months, which will be spread over a period of three billing cycles. The Airtel postpaid users can avail the 30GB additional data by logging into their My Airtel app after July 1, 2017. However, if you don’t have the app on your smartphone, you can download it from the Google Play Store to claim the benefits of the offer.
To recall, Airtel had launched its ‘Airtel Suprise’ offer for all its postpaid users back in March this year. As a part of the offer, the telecom giant offered 30GB additional data to its postpaid users. Subscribers who availed the offer got 10GB extra data every month over a period of three billing cycle.
The offer comes as a countermeasure to Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan, which the newbie telecom operator introduced back in April this year. As a part of its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, the company offered its users unlimited data, SMS and voice calling (1GB data per day at 4G speed) at a recharge of Rs 309. The company also offered its users a high plan of Rs 509, offering 2GB data per day at 4G speeds.
The Indian telecom sector has become a battleground of the turf war between the telecom giants in the country, wherein Reliance Jio has forced other companies including Bharti Airtel Vodafone India and Idea to offer competitive prices top prevent their customers from migrating to its platform.
