This Pakistan Politician Drank Sewage Water While Asking For Votes

Motiwala hails from the constituency of NA-243 in Karachi and to convince people to vote him he decided to attack the present government and opposition party by sitting on a dharna in the dirty water.

It’s not unusual to see politicians going door-to-door campaigning and asking for votes before elections. However, one independent politician in Pakistan has come up with a bizarre campaign idea in Karachi that actually has garnered lots of attention. Take a load of this, Ayaz Memom Motiwala rolled himself on sewage water (and drank it too) to show his support towards the problems of a faulty sewage system.

Motiwala hails from the constituency of NA-243 in Karachi and to convince people to vote him he decided to attack the present government and opposition party by organising this unique protest. He went live on his Facebook page and sat on the road amid sewage water. He even drank the water and waved the Pakistani national flag.

In no time, his photos went viral on social media but most were not impressed. While some commented he was “making a fool of himself”, others called it a “publicity stunt”.

However, this is not the first time he has done something like this. Earlier, he planted himself inside a manhole to highlight the issues faced by sewage workers.

He has even organized a gutter fashion show to highlight the condition of roads. His other stunts include a bhangra routine in the middle of garbage piles.
