Harbhajan Singh seems to have got inspired by Virender Sehwag’s social avatar. At least his latest tweet suggests so.
His latest tweet on Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Brendon McCullum is pure gold. He compares a scoop shot played by AB de Villiers to Gurran Baba, an iconic character from a Hindi super hit film, Lagaan.
AB de Villiers had played that shot against Mumbai Indians at MA Chinnaswamy the previous night. The shot was originally called the ‘Dilscoop’, named after Tillakaratne Dilshan, a former Sri Lankan cricketer who introduced the shot. It is a shot that requires a lot of courage and self-belief.

Meanwhile, RCB beat MI by 14 runs and ensured they stay afloat in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2018. And it is almost over for Mumbai Indians, the defending champions.
Batting first, RCB set MI a target of 168 to chase, thanks to contributions from Manan Vohra (45), Brendon McCullum (37) and Virat Kohli (32), what seemed like an easily conquerable target. But when MI started to chase, wickets kept falling one after the other. Soon they were looking down the barrel at 47 for 4 when Pollard got out.
