But what stole hearts was not RCB winning but the fact that Virat Kohli gave the perfect birthday present to his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma — a win!
Anushka has been rooting for RCB this year and has been seen cheering from the stands many times. Her expressions, as expected, become a talking point every time the camera pans on her. Anushka Sharma turned 30 on May 1 and the win over MI was the best gift Virat could have given her.

Earlier, batting first, RCB set MI a target of 168 to chase, thanks to contributions from Manan Vohra (45), Brendon McCullum (37) and Virat Kohli (32), what seemed like an easily conquerable target. But when MI started to chase, wickets kept falling one after the other. Soon they were looking down the barrel at 47 for 4 when Pollard got out. The Pandya brothers stitched a partnership of 56 runs but that proved not to be good enough, although, they did make the RCB camp nervous for a while.
