It seems the infamous Delhi smog has bitten the visiting Sri Lankan cricket team that is playing the final Test at Feroz Shah Kotla. We saw Sri Lankan players donning masks on the second day of the Test when Virat Kohli was on fire and breaching one milestone after the other. The play was stopped for 16 minutes due to smog. The levels of air quality have dipped, Delhi saw it last year as well. This year citing the smog menace the Delhi government banned the sale of firecrackers as well.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin, Virat Kohli got dismissed just after the smog halt, which happened for 16 minutes. This may have broken the concentration of the Indian batsman, which forced Indian coach Ravi Shastri to step into the field of play to intervene.
