S Sreesanth is miffed with Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) and is ready to take big decisions. After Kerala High Court restored the life ban on the 34-year-old, Sreesanth hinted that he might try and play for another country. The right-arm fast bowler was in high spirits after he was exonerated by the single bench in August, though the celebration was short-lived as the lifetime ban was restored by the division bench. The member of India’s two World Cup-winning teams raised a few questions over Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai SuperKings (CSK), as well asked about who the real culprits were.
What Sreesanth said
“I have been banned by BCCI not International Cricket Council (ICC). So if not India I want to play for another country. I am already 34 years old and I can play another six years maximum. Since I love cricket, I want to play the sport somehow,” Sreesanth told Asianet News on October 19.
Sreesanth was banned for spot-fixing allegations in IPL 2013, the sixth edition of the cash-rich league. He believes that he can still play till 40. He might get to play for another country as there have been other Indian players who went on to play for a country other than India.

Players like Shakti Gauchan (Nepal), Jeet Raval (New Zealand), Munis Ansari (Oman), Swapnil Patil (UAE) and Krishna Chandran (UAE) started their careers in the Indian domestic circuit but went on to represent other countries. Though it might get tough for Sreesanth as BCCI is not looking to lift the ban on him or let him play any form of cricket.
One such incident of BCCI not allowing Sreesanth happened earlier this year. BCCI denied Sreesanth a no-objection certificate to play for a Glenrothes Cricket Club in Scotland.
