This Hyderabad Restaurant Sold Over 70 Lakh Biryani Servings In A Year

This is definitely a 'Paradise' for biryani lovers

Paradise Food Court’s Hyderabad branch entered the Limca Book of Records 2019 for dishing out maximum servings of biryani in a year. The restaurant prepared and served 70,44,289 servings of biryani between January 1 2017, and December 31, 2017.

Gautam Gupta, CEO of Paradise Food Court, told Business Line,

“Entering the Limca Book of Records and being rated as the Restaurant Serving Best Biryani by the Asia Food Congress give us twin joy, and a testament to the love our loyal customers shower on us.”

Founded in 1953 in Hyderabad, the restaurant started out as a cafe, serving tea and snacks, at a theatre called ‘Paradise’. It started selling biryani in the early 1960s and slowly grew in popularity, becoming known for Hyderabadi cuisine. In the 2010s, it expanded to other cities in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

It also bagged the award for ‘Restaurant serving the best Biryani’ at the Asia Food Congress held in Mumbai. It also got ‘Swiggy Public Choice for Biryani – Delivery’ award, Wall Street Journal’s ‘Best Hyderabadi Biryani’ and the Telangana State Hotels Association (TSHA) ‘Pride of Hyderabad’ award.
