5 ways to make late-night working hours bearable

Are you stuck in your office for an important presentation beyond your work hours? Here are some tips that will help you make your time more bearable

Most people want to retire to the comfort of their beds after a hectic day at work. A hot shower followed by a nice supper is all anyone needs after spending 8-9 hours in the back-breaking office scenario. However, sometimes despite your best efforts, your work hours get extended beyond the usual time. Be it because of the series of meetings that you have to attend the next day or due to a deadline of a project you are working on, sometimes there is no alternative to staying back after work hours.

We agree it’s horrible as no one likes to stay back after work. But when you have no other option, it’s always advisable to come to work prepared with all the arms and ammunition that you need to make the night more productive and bearable. Here are some tips that will help:

1) Get cozy
Pulling an all-nighter can be difficult, especially if you have to sit in the uptight condition even after work. Loosen up that tie and find yourself a couch to sit comfortably on. Have a good playlist handy. Point? Get comfortable.

2) Munch on healthy food
While it is natural to get tempted to munch on junk food, it is advisable to eat a light and a healthy meal. If possible get light and filling foods like salads packed from home. This will help you stay alert for a longer period of time.

3) Prioritise your tasks
Divide your work into smaller tasks based on their importance. Finish the most important one first and work your way down the list.
