The agency said that Ali had planned several attacks to be carried out in India.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a chargesheet against the captured Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Bahadur Ali at the NIA special court at Patiala House on January 6.

The agency said that Ali had planned several attacks to be carried out in India. The agency said,”The case is related to the conspiracy hatched by Lashkar-e-Taiba, based in Pakistan, to carry out attacks in India.”

Previously, the NIA had presented Bahadur’s confessional video as a reference claiming that Pakistan’s LeT had tailored the unrest in Kashmir and initiated the chaos across the valley which was triggered by the killing of Burhan Wani in an encounter.

Bahadur Ali was arrested Yahama village in Mawar area of Qalamabad, Handwara, in North Kashmir on July 25, 2016. The army had claimed to have recovered two pistols, three AK-47 rifles and Indian currency worth Rs 23,000 from his possession.

As stated by NIA, Ali was trained at a LeT camp in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir where he learned various activities like map reading and GPS device operations.

As stated by Ali, his handlers informed him about the unrest across the valley from a control room code-named Alpha-3. He was instructed to throw grenades over the security personnel. He was also informed that other militants have sneaked in successfully into the valley to uplift the situation of unrest.
