Dangal actress Zaira Wasim to get security cover post controversy?

Zaira Wasim found herself embroiled in a controversy and was trolled on social media after she recently met Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti.

Dangal star Zaira Wasim who played the role of young Geeta Phogat, who found herself embroiled in controversy after meeting  Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, may get security cover since it was alleged that the actress was receiving threats.

A day after the controversy unfolded, the deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir told the media that the state government had taken the matter extremely seriously and will take every possible measure to ensure her safety. Zaira Wasim who issued an apology after being trolled on social media post her meeting with the J&K CM said that she had no idea why the matter had become such a big issue while adding that she had apologised only because she did not want hurt anyone’s feelings.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended his support to the Dangal girl, Zaira Wasim by saying that a 16-year-old girl should not be made to apologise just for meeting the state’s Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

Omar Abdullah who has been extremely vocal about his displeasure with the Mehbooba Mufti government slammed the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister saying that the “Mehbooba Mufti was using other people’s success to cover up her own failures.” He further urged the government to let the young achievers enjoy their success and not “hijack” it.

Amir Khan who played her on-screen father came out to support his reel life daughter saying that the country was with her and he was proud of her.Heaping praises on the 16-year-old actress, Aamir said it was her courage, hard work that has made her the role model of children across India.

Even, the Commonwealth games Gold medalist wrestler Geeta Phogat herself backed Zaira and stated that there was no need to seek an apology and she need not be scared.
