SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion has done it again. After creating records at the Telugu, Bollywood, and Kannada Box Office, the film has now set an unthinkable record at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. The war-drama, which had released on April 28 simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada languages has so far emerged as the all-time industry hit at Telugu, Bollywood and Kannada Box Office respectively.
Jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao and Prasad Devineni, the war drama is a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. InUth had earlier stated that Baahubali 2 had emerged as the second Rs 100 crore blockbuster at the Tamil Nadu Box Office after Tamil megastar Rajinikanth’s 2010 film Enthiran.
And now, the SS Rajamouli film has broken the lifetime collections of the Rajinikanth blockbuster to emerge as the all-time industry hit at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. It’s indeed a remarkable feat considering that Baahubali 2 took just 18 theatrical days to shatter the 7-year old record set by the Shankar film in the year 2010.
Have a look at the industry records set by Baahubali 2:
- Baahubali 2 (Hindi) – emerges all-time highest Bollywood grosser in 15 theatrical days
- Baahubali 2 (Telugu) – emerges all-time highest Telugu grosser in 6 theatrical days
- Baahubali 2 (Kannada) – emerges all-time highest Kannada grosser in 7 theatrical days
- Baahubali 2 (Tamil) – emerges all-time highest Tamil grosser in 18 theatrical days
Apart from Prabhas, the movie also features Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Ramyakrishnan, Nassar and Tamannaah Bhatia. The total worldwide collections of Baahubali 2 is all set to cross the coveted Rs. 1500 crore in next few days.
