The first single track from Tamil actor Thala Ajith’s Vivegam was released on Monday evening. The film, an action-thriller, directed by Siva and produced by TG Thyagarajan under his banner, Sathya Jyothi Films, marks the third collaboration of Ajith and director Siva. The actor-director duo’s previous releases were blockbusters at the Box Office.
Vivegam’s music director Anirudh Ravichander released the song titled Surviva on Saavn application on Monday and much to the delight of Thala fans, the song turned out to be an instant hit across the social media in no time. Within just 22 hours, Surviva song hit 5 lakh streams to become the highest streamed song on Saavn application. As expected, Thala fans wasted no time to celebrate it by trending the hashtag #RECORD BREAKING SURVIVA number one on Twitter.
Anirudh Ravichander, who is known for composing Why This Kolaveri Di song took to his Twitter page to release the Surviva song.
“Hi guys, this is your Anirudh and I am very very excited for the release of ‘Surviva’. Thanks for the overwhelming response for the teaser already. I am very happy. After a long time, we are coming back and this time we are going to do something different. We want to set a benchmark in streaming,” Anirudh Ravichander wrote on Twitter while announcing the release of Surviva song.

Going by the song, Surviva seems to be a tribute song to Thala Ajith as the lyrics of the song are about a man, who takes on the struggles and overcomes his challenges in his life. Similarly, the Vedalam actor has survived his failures and emerged as one of the most bankable lead actors of South film industry. The song, written and sung by rapper Yogi B along with Mali Manoj also marks Anirudh’s first collaboration with the popular singers.
Vivegam features Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead. The Magadheera actress will be playing the wife of Ajith in the film. The movie also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan’s daughter Akshara Haasan.
