English actress Emma Watson has sent her greetings to India on the joyous occasion of Holi. The 26-year-old actress, who will soon be seen as the Disney Princess Belle in Beauty and the Beast, wished her beloved Indian fanbase for the colourful festival in a video shared by UTV Motion Pictures.
In the video, Emma Watson greeted her fans by saying, “Namaste India, wishing you a very Happy Holi! And don’t forget to see Beauty and the Beast, this March in cinemas near you.”

Watson pays special attention to her fans knowing full well how much the Indians adore her. The actress gained a huge fan following through her memorable role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series.

Watson’s film Beauty and the Beast is all set to hit the screens on May 17 next week. Apart from her, the Disney feature film also stars Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.

The release of Beauty and the Beast in India is doubly exciting as India refrained from imposing a ban on the film for featuring a gay character. The film has been under fire after it was revealed that the character of LeFou, played by Josh Gad, will be gay. Some countries, including Russia, had imposed a ban on the film. According to reports, LeFou will have a crush on Gatson (Luke Evans), who seeks to marry Belle.
