By now, Baahubali 2 setting new records has failed to surprise cine buffs. The kind of buzz it has created and the level of excitement cine lovers have to watch Baahubali 2, is enough to expect the film will turn to become a blockbuster. After bringing the Internet to a standstill with its trailer, Baahubali 2 has set a new record. It will release in 6,500 screens across India, making it the film that has been allocated the maximum number of screens, ever.
With such numbers, one can surely expect Baahubali 2 to have a bumper opening at the Box Office. The trailer of Baahubali: The Conclusion released on 16 March and became the seventh most watched trailer around the world.
Speaking about the reception the trailer received, Vamsi Atluri, the editor of the trailer, told IANS in a conversation:
It’s so satisfying to see this kind of response which I never imagined. More than the pressure of working on the trailer of India’s biggest motion picture (yet), I was very anxious to know how audiences will receive it.
Helmed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali left cine lovers in hanging as they left one of the biggest questions unanswered. Everyone wanted to know why Kattappa Killed Baahubali, and all of them would get the answer this time.
Starring Prabhas as Amrendra Baahubali and his son, Rana Daggubatti as Bhallaldeva, the magnum opus is set in the fictional town of Mahishmati. The film also stars Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia in pivotal roles.
Baahubali 2 has been made on a grand scale and there is no shred of doubt that it is one of the biggest films ever made in India. The film consumed many years of everyone who was a part of it. When Prabhas was asked what he would do after the sequel released, the actor revealed he would go on a vacation. Considering how hard he has worked for the film, a vacation is just what Prabhas needs.
