This Indian Company Beat Apple, Microsoft On Forbes' List

The list is topped by Visa and Ferrari and features 12 Indian companies in top 250

Indian Information Technology major Infosys is declared world’s third ‘Best Regarded’ company according to a list released by Forbes. Bengaluru-based Infosys beat Netflix, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Toyota Motors etc to jump 28 places from last year.

The list is topped by Visa and Ferrari and features 12 Indian companies in top 250 including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) at 22nd while Tata Motors was listed at No. 31. As many as 12 Indian companies, including Infosys, TCS and HDFC, have been named in the list of World’s Best Regarded Companies compiled by Forbes.

The companies were ranked on trustworthiness, social conduct and how they fare as employers. The US dominated the list as it is home to 59 of the 250 companies in the list. The next three most-represented countries are Japan, China and India. Japan, China and India together house 82 companies on the list, up from 63 last year.

Founded in 1981 by Narayana Murthy, Infosys is India’s second-largest software exporter and has a revenue of $11.8 billion.
