State run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a new plan ahead of Raksha Bandhan. The plan called ‘Rakhi pe Saugaat’ offers 1 GB free data along with unlimited voice calls for just Rs 74. This value is valid on other networks also. The offer is valid for 5 days and it will launch on August 3, 2017. The offer will be applicable for 12 days.
“Maintaining its tradition BSNL is offering such cheapest tariffs on festivities,” Director (CM) BSNL Board RK Mittal said while announcing the offer. Apart from this, BSNL has rolled out several combo vouchers that offer up to 18 percent extra value with 1 GB data. Customers can opt for a recharge of Rs 389, Rs 189 or Rs 289 to avail the benefits of the plan.
Apart from this, BSNL offers a host of interesting plans for its users. The company’s ‘Sixer- 666’ plan offers 2 GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls to any network for 2 months. The company also offers ‘Dil Khol k Bol’ plan for Rs 349 offering 2 GB data per day along with free voice calls for a period of 28 days.
The company had also introduced vouchers worth Rs786 and Rs 599 for its prepaid customers to mark Eid celebrations. Back in April, the company had introduced ‘Chauka- 444’ plan offering unlimited data at 90 GB data per day for 90 days. The plan was a successor to the ‘Triple Ace’ plan that offered 3 GB data per day for 90 days.
Meanwhile, telecom operators in the country have upped the ante to compete against the disruptive strategy of Reliance Jio. While Bharti Airtel is offering cheaper data plans, Idea Cellular is launching a new 4G smartphone that will be priced at around Rs 2,500.
