Apple unveiled its brand new smartphone– iPhone 8, at its annual product keynote event at Apple Park in the Santa Clara Valley in the US on September 12, 2017. The announcement was made at the event that was hosted in a special theatre which is dedicated to the former Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
“App Store changed the way we work, spawning new industries along the way. We changed the people communicate with features like iMessage, FaceTime. With Siri, we used AI to make our voices more powerful. iPhone also revolutionised security and privacy. iPhone’s amazing camera became the most popular way to capture images of our lives,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said while announcing the company’s latest iPhone.
Apart from iPhone 8, the company also unveiled Apple Watch Series 3, which features an e-SIM and will come cellular access. Users will be able to make calls and connect to the internet using the new Apple watch without connecting with an iPhone. Apple Watch Series 3 will also feature a brand new Siri and it will be up for pre orders from September 15, 2017.
Apart from this, the Cupertino-based company also announced Apple TV 4K, which features Dolby Vision HDR 10 and 4K HDR 10. The new Apple TV is powered by Apple’s A10 Fusion chipset and the company is working with Amazon Prime and Netflix to bring their 4K videos on to its platform.
