While most of us are still wondering how to perfect the hair knot or French braid, this artist Laetitia KY sculpts her hair into works of art. The 21-year-old aspiring fashion designer from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, usually uses Instagram to display her powerful looks and sculptures out of her hair.
Laetitia has created some great hair sculptures mimicking hand gestures, selfie sticks and what not. She uses wires in her hair to place her hair in the way she wants. She has been making waves all over the globe for her gorgeous masterpieces and has a fan following for 17.8k followers.
The self-described ‘art fanatic’ told Buzzfeed that she was always fond of her hairdressing and took inspiration from “beauty and complexity” of a photo series displaying hairstyles of African women and the black community. She says her finds inspiration from ‘everything and nothing at once’.
