Malala Yousafzai sought college advice and Twitter came to her aid

Off to University of Oxford soon, Malala Yousafzai sought some college advice from her followers on Twitter and they had some great tips.

After daring Taliban, surviving a gunshot to the head and having been a strong proponent of women’s rights, it seems Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai has a new hurdle to cross. Malala is soon heading to the University of Oxford to pursue higher education. The 20-year-old Nobel Prize laureate gained admission to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at the Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Yousafzai recently told her followers on Twitter that she had begun packing for the university where she also stopped to seek some advice about how to go about this college thing.

Malala joined Twitter earlier this year and has since been very active on the micro-blogging site. Back in August, she posted a screenshot of her confirmation to the University and wrote, “So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students – the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!” Recently, Malala posted a tweet to ask about the “do’s and don’ts” for college along with the hashtag #HelpMalalaPack.

As soon as she posted the tweet, Twitterati swarmed in with helpful replies suggesting her things to take to college like her own mattress, flip-flops and even a stuffed teddy bear. A few of the others focused on the don’ts and advised her against drinking coffee while some just congratulated her for the new development in her life.

Here are some of the reactions from Twitter:
