H&M customer slams the brand for huge size discrepancies, social media swipes right

Clothing brands have been bashed up for huge discrepancies in sizes of women's clothing time and again, and H&M has done it once again. Read on.

H&M, the popular fashion brand, is in the news once again and for all wrong reasons. A body-positive activist and shopper slammed the brand for having huge anomalies in their sizes. Women are, often, made stereotyped for spending too much time shopping but what happened with Mira Hirsch in one of the H&M stores is what most women go through. Mira went shopping to an H&M store and tried on a pair of pants. She picked up two pants, both the same size, from different sections but what happened next was mind-blowing. She fit into one pair but did not fit in the other. Sounds familiar? We’re sure you’re nodding in agreement with us, and these experiences, most often than not, leave women thinking negatively about their body.

Earlier as well, clothing brands have been bashed up for huge discrepancies in sizes of women’s clothing. Mira posted a photograph on her Instagram handle with a really powerful message, “DO NOT DEFINE YOURSELF BY A NUMBER!!…stop trying to fit into the “ideal size”!…wear clothes that you feel funky in!…who the hell cares if it’s a few sizes bigger or smaller than what you normally wear…take back your power and wear whatever size and style you desire…love the skin you’re in!”

Here is Mira’s entire Instagram post bashing up H&M. The amount of support Mira received afterwards was just amazing, as many women came forward and shared the same sentiment.

repost . PSA: DO NOT DEFINE YOURSELF BY A NUMBER‼️ . . . THESE ARE BOTH EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE! . . . i was looking for a pair of pants and found both of these in the same size in different sections of the store. . . the maroon pair had a label saying “New Fit” and the mint pair had nothing. both were my size yet one pair couldn’t even close and the other pair was a little loose? . . i used to absolutely DREAD shopping because of this reason alone! . . you look for something in your usual size, it doesn’t fit and you end up leaving the store feeling so shitty about yourself. letting diet culture kick in, and self loathing take over. i know i did. . stop trying to fit into the “ideal size”! . . . wear clothes that you feel funky in! . . who the hell cares if it’s a few sizes bigger or smaller than what you normally wear. . . take back your power and wear whatever size and style you desire . . . love the skin you’re in! . . .#dimples#thunderthighs#thick#thighbrows#curvyfashion#curves#confident#cellulite#curvygirl#bopo#bodyposi#bodypositive#plussize#positivity#hipdips#everybodyisbeautiful#johannesburg#loveyourself#loveyourbody#acceptyourself#sablogger#selflove#southafrica#stretchmarks#nowrongwaytobeawoman#curvywomenarethebest#softtummy#nofilter#unedited#lovetheskinyourein
