Fall in love with Ravish Kumar as he recites short love stories in this viral video

Could you ever imagine renowned journalist Ravish Kumar as being romantic?

Distinguished Indian journalist Ravish Kumar is known for his Prime Time debates on NDTV. But, did you know that other than being a good journalist, Kumar also has a romantic side to himself? Who would have thought! On Thursday, a video of the famed journalist went viral on Facebook where he was seen reciting love stories from his book “Ishq Mein Shahar Hona”.

The video was posted by The Quint on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on Thursday. In the video, Ravish Kumar is seen reading out excerpts from the book “Ishq Mein Shahar Hona”. The 90-page book is part of the Facebook fiction series LaPrek, which is short for Laghu Prem Katha (short love stories). Currently in its sixth edition, “Ishq Mein Shahar Hona” was recently listed as a bestseller by Nielsen and Dainik Jagran.

In the video, Ravish recites love stories, some his own, and some taken from others. When he first came to Delhi from Patna, he experienced a huge cultural shock. “Jab tak aap ishq nahi karte aap sheher nahi dekhte.” (Until you fall in love, you don’t really see the city) A few Facebook users noticed that Kumar visibly blushed while he spoke. “Oo my god. Never seen Ravish ji blushing so much. It was a treat to watch and hear his take on love,” wrote one Facebook user. “The way Ravish interpreted the story is really intriguing. Chaa gye sir,” another stated.
