Kaushal Nishad sells egg in UP’s Lakhmipur district to make ends meet. But what sets him apart from other egg sellers is his amazing singing skills. The 22-year-old became a YouTube sensation after his younger brother recorded him crooning a Mohammad Rafi song and posted the video on the internet.
Now, Kaushal and his brother, Anil Nishad, a Class XII student, run a YouTube channel called ‘Nishad Music Bhojpuri’. They started the channel in February this year and has earned a large fan base. Kaushal is now known as ‘poor man’s Mohammed Rafi’.
He learned how to sing by listening to Mohammed Rafi and Kumar Sanu. Due to his growing popularity, his egg business has also flourished.
Speaking to TOI, he said, “I used to wash dishes at a small hotel for Rs 20 a day. YouTube has really changed my life. I even have a channel named Nishad music Bhojpuri today. With time, I have learnt that God has a plan for everyone.”
Not just he is a popular YouTube star, but Kaushal is now a famous performer and has lent his voice to local events.
