Congress Twitter account hacked. Twitterati call it 'unavoidable fun'

There is no information yet on who was behind the act

Late on Wednesday night, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account was hacked. After several tweets were sent out from his account, the party’s IT cell finally managed to restore the account. Some relief.

But Thursday morning comes with another shoch. The official Twitter handle of the Congress Party (INCIndia) was flooded with expletive tweets. It took close to an hour for the IT cell to reclaim control of the official handle.

While the Congress was blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party for the hacking on Wednesday, there is no information yet on who was behind the act.

Nevertheless, Twitter is having its share of fun.

Conspiracies about how it began have started floating too.

Jokes about Rahul Gandhi also started doing the rounds.

But jokes apart, it is a breach of security. The Congress and Rahul Gandhi will surely have to do a thorough check into their accounts.
