Watch: Sonu Nigam's Bollywood mash-up on demonetisation is the best thing you'll see today

Watch this extremely hilarious video of Sonu Nigam taking a dig at demonetisation through a parody of Bollywood songs.

Sonu Nigam is a versatile singer and there’s no doubt about it. In one of his not-so-old videos, Sonu presented  a hilarious mash-up, a demonetisation version of Bollywood songs. The songs that he picked up for this mash-up were Arijit Singh’s Gerua, Kailash Kher’s popular song Allah Ke Bande and Kumar Sanu’s Sochenge Tumhe Pyar. Sonu has, basically, taken a dig at demonetisation.

Last year, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his move to withdraw Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes, it caused common man a lot of inconvenience. Back then, Sonu had conceptualised a video in collaboration with director, Milap Milan Zaveri and praised the move asking people to have patience. In the current video, he is making fun of how demonetisation affected famous singers Arijit Singh, Kailash Kher and Kumar Sanu and what all problems they faced.

Sonu Nigam has been really creative in imagining the situations through which these singers go and played well with the words. For instance, Arijit goes to take out money from the ATM but has a fight with people while standing in the queue, and sings, ‘Line mein lag ke, dhoop mein pighal ke, ATM pe mera, jhagda hogaya’ and it sounds absolutely hilarious. Kailash Kher is worried after not getting a change of Rs 500 and sings ‘Chhutta Chhutta dhoondha maine kitna chhutta’, and Kumar Sanu makes a lot of efforts but doesn’t get to see the new Rs 2000 currency note, so he sings ‘Kisi pe do hazaar hai ke nahi, batao mere yaar, hai ke nahi’.
