Amitabh Bachchan's tweet about helping a man drink water is making us facepalm so hard

Before social media we were awed by movie stars. After social media we're awed by how completely self-absorbed they can be.

We live on a planet that’s literally worships celebrities. Where Salman Khan earns accolades for standing up, Varun Dhawan will get thunderous applause for moving his crotch to and fro, and Amitabh Bachchan is considered an ‘inspiration’ for helping someone drink a glass of water.

Yes, Mr Bachchan has recently tweeted about his little act of kindness where he helped a differently-abled person drink a glass of water. He called it a ‘poignant moment’ for himself. Who knew one needs accolades even for offering a glass of water to someone.

Pretty sure anyone in that position would’ve helped the person. This tweet is just a grave reminder of all the times Mr Bachchan has been pretty outlandish on Twitter. From being paranoid about Twitter stealing his followers, to sending out random cryptic tweets to being straight-up self obsessed, here are some weird tweets by Amitabh Bachchan that’ll make you go ‘Big B needs to chill’.

Also PSA: no one wants to steal your followers, Mr Bachchan. You see, most social media platforms do this thing where they delete fake/inactive/dummy accounts and that results in a lot of influencers and celebrities losing followers.

While congratulating the team is fine, how about use a picture of the team instead of your own picture? #JustSaying

Follower: Sir no one remade your movie sir it’s because you are the best sire wow sir Deewar is rox DDLJ is sux.
Amitabh Bachchan: Wow..profound.

Sir, even though we agree that it is a cult movie, ever considered the fact that maybe no one wanted to remake it?

Again, plugging other people is pretty cool, but why use your own picture?

Salman Khan- “Mujhe ladki mil gayi”
