As Rupee Hits Its All-Time Low, Twitter Gets High On Humour

The Indian rupee has touched an all-time low against US Dollar on Thursday. Now, it has plunged at 69.09 per dollar, which has crossed its last record low of 68.8650 per dollar on November 24, 2016.

The drop came due to the increase in the international crude oil prices and trade war concerns between the United States and China. Traders said they were hopeful that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would step in to prevent further losses in the currency.

So far this year, the rupee has fallen over 8 per cent vs dollar, being the worst performing Asian currency against American dollar. But as the rupee hits its low, tweepies get high on humour. Once again, Twitter users did what the do best – coming up with witty one-liners.
