Newlyweds Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on December 26 hosted another reception party, this time for their friends. The ceremony was organised at the St Regis Hotel in Mumbai, which was attended by stars from both the sports world and Bollywood. The couple hosted their first reception in Delhi on December 23.
From Bollywood, big celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Rekha and others attended the reception.

Almost all players from the world of cricket including MS Dhoni, Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja among others marked their presence at the reception.

Former Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar, as well as India’s badminton star and London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal, were also present at the wedding reception party.

But, the highlight of the evening was the presence of former Indian coach Anil Kumble. Twitterati couldn’t believe that Kumble, who was at odds with the Indian skipper earlier this year, was among the attendees.

Earlier this year, Anil Kumble resigned from the post of India’s coach following his rift with the Indian captain Virat Kohli. Kumble’s fans were taken aback by his step and criticised Kohli for his rude attitude and for being authoritative.

Among the attendees also included former Chief selector Sandeep Patil along with Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Zaheer Khan, Jaydev Unadkat, Cheteshwar Pujara and many more. Bollywood bigwigs such as Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Kangana Ranaut, Prasoon Joshi, Anurag Kashyap, Lara Dutta, Ramesh Taurani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sidharth Roy Kapur, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Boman Irani, Rajkumar Hirani, newbies Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Dino Morea, as well as music maestro AR Rahman were present.

After wrapping the festivities, Anushka and Virat will fly off to South Africa where Virat will stay on for the upcoming India tour of the African nation.
