Conor McGregor Claims He 'Won The Battle' Against Khabib, Twitter Can't Stop LOLing

Why Conor McGregor why?

As if the fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov was not brutal enough, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Conor McGregor claimed on Twitter that he won the battle despite losing the match. McGregor had to tap out in the fourth round as he couldn’t do anything. The Irishman was forced into submission midway into the round which was followed by a brawl outside and inside the octagon.

After the fight Khabib apologised for his actions as things got serious between the two teams:

“This is not my best side. He talked about my religion, my country, my father. He came to Brooklyn, he broke bus and nearly killed two people. So why do people still talk about me jumping over the cage? I have shown respect. I told you guys: his whole team and him, they are tap machines. Today he tapped. Undisputed and undefeated,”

On the other hand, McGregor did not issue an apology. Instead he tweeted this:

Twitter was in no mood to spare the 30-year-old as he was brutally trolled for his tweet:

The Russian explained the repercussions of his actions post-fight and what he intends the sport to look like in the future.

“This is a respectful sport. This is not a trash-talking sport. I want to change this game. You cannot talk about religions and nations. This for me is very important. Thank you for waiting for me. I know my father is gonna smash me when I go home. Nevada: sorry. Vegas: Sorry,”
