Guess Who Won The 3-Run Challenge Between Virat Kohli & KL Rahul?

If only Sachin Tendulkar took the challenge in his prime

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers in the world, but so is KL Rahul. The fitness trend in Indian cricket has reached new heights, thanks to Kohli. This attitude rubs off on other players. Rahul too is an example of it. Despite injuries, he has managed to stay fit. He is agile and his catches at the slip was one of the talking points during India’s tour of England.

The Indian captain started a challenge in the last week of April this year. He challenged players to beat him in the 3-run challenge. The 29-year-old took just 8.9 seconds to complete three runs between the wickets.

Rahul took the challenge after around 5 months. He is also one of the fastest runners between the wickets. But the 26-year-old failed to beat his skipper. He clocked 10.1 seconds to run thrice between the wickets.

Rahul may have not bettered Kohli’s timing but he was faster than Rashid Khan who clocked 10.50 seconds. Earlier, even MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo challenged each other. However, instead of recording their time, they went head-on.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) duo raced after their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 title win. In the end, Bravo was bettered by the 37-year-old CSK skipper.

The game of cricket has changed a lot these days and it requires players to be at the peak of their fitness. Fielding has incredibly improved which makes it necessary for batsmen to run harder between the wickets to get more runs when the boundaries are tough to come by.
