Today In What-Did-We-Just-Watch: Madhya Pradesh's Batting Collapses in 35 Runs

It seems like Madhya Pradesh batsmen gave up on the chase and threw their wickets away

Whoosh!

That one word would sum up the batting performance of Madhya Pradesh in recent Ranji Trophy group match.

Playing against Andhra, the MP’s  batting lineup collapsed like a pack of cards on January 9.

Three of their batsmen back in the hut for just 19 runs. The chances of getting past their first innings score looked slim. On the score of 35, they lost their fourth wicket which paved the way for a batting collapse of epic proportions.

After opener Aryaman Birla’s wicket, 5 more wickets fell in a matter of just 22 deliveries. KV Sasikanth got four out of five batsmen out on duck whereas middle order Yash Dubey was the last one to fall. An injured Gaurav Yadav meant that Madhya Pradesh bundle out for a paltry score of 35. They lost  the match by a ginormous margin of 307 runs.

Sasikanth ended the match with 6 wickets for just 18 runs. Here’s how Twitterverse reacted to the unusual batting display from Madhya Pradesh:
