Sonu Sood beats Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu in a friendly badminton game| Watch Video

PV Sindhu recently bagged a silver medal in the World Badminton Championships in a well-fought final clash in the previous month

PV Sindhu recently bagged the silver medal at Glasgow World Badminton Championships and missed out on the gold medal by a whisker. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who has been backing Sindhu for a while now through his tweets, engaged Sindhu in a badminton match. The Olympic silver medallist obviously did not play to her full potential as she was just taking it easy with the shuttle and being her usual self by not smashing it in every corner. But, Sood still managed to play sportingly and even shared a few laughs with Sindhu on the court.

Sood still managed to score a point when Sindhu was caught off-guard. He was ecstatic when he managed to score a point against Sindhu and even gave a high-five. Sindhu too was surprised by Sood’s game as she laughingly said, “Yo! he played well, yes”.

Sood joined in the conversation and said, “When you play with the best, even if you play average, you know you are not bad. What do you say?” Sindhu replied, “You really played well”. We don’t know the final scoreline of the game but according to the video, Sood did score a point.

Earlier Sindhu shared a video on Teacher’s Day on her Twitter account with the caption reading, “I hate my teacher. Gopichand. Watch the video to know why!”.

Sindhu lost to the Japanese player Nozomi Okuhara in the final of World Badminton Championships by 21-19, 19-21, 20-22. It was an action-packed game as Sindhu fought well in the end and played the longest rally of the tournament. There was barely a difference between the two players’ strenghts as the game went right down the wire with the audience on their edge of the seat throughout the final clash.
