This WWE superstar once fought with Indian TV superhero Baal Veer — Watch video

He won six world championship titles in WWE, along with two gold medals in the 1995 World Wrestling Championship as well as a gold medal in the 1996 Olympics

Kurt Angle is one of the favourites from the ring of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). For the kids who grew up in the 90s, the wrestler, famous for donning the blue, white and red outfit, used to be an icon of fascination. He took on many other wrestling superstars like Eddie Guerrero, Kane, Brock Lesnar etc. entertaining his die-hard fans. However, after becoming a six-time world champion during 8 years of wrestling in the WWE, he left the show for other opportunities. Then came an era where Kurt was seen in an Indian daily soap fighting a teenage superhero known as Baal Veer.

Ring a bell? No? Don’t worry, most are unaware of Baal Veer. It’s an Indian kids’ TV show that aired on Sab TV from 2012 to 2016. In one of its episode, the teenage superhero reaches the ring of TNA wrestling where he had to fight with none other than The Kurt Angle. Does the plot sound like a joke? Well, it isn’t.

We are as shocked and let down as you are. The Kurt Angle was in his prime when he won two gold medals in the 1995 World Wrestling Championship as well as a gold medal in the 1996 Olympic Games. After his WWE stint, the American wrestler worked in 16 films and 8 TV series including Baal Veer.

Kurt appeared on the kids’ show to promote the TNA wrestling. However, perhaps he won’t have any idea what this cameo has done to those WWE Indian fans who used to stick to their grainy television screens watching him with rapt attention and awe back in the 90s. Add to this, Baal Veer has an IMDB rating of 2.5.

To fall from grace and how…
