Indian Youngsters Shine AT ISSF Shooting WC 2018 With 4 Gold, 1 Silver, 4 Bronze

The Indian team has won 9 Medals so far and is expected to top the medal tally for the first time in ISSF World Cup

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup is going on in Mexico and the Indian team is having their best-ever World Cup campaign. Let’s have a look at the shooters who made India proud:

World Cup debutant Manu Bhakar has won 2 Gold medals in this tournament. Shahzar Rizvi clinched gold in 10m air pistol event. He scored 242.3 points and set a new World Record in this category

Akhil Sheoran bagged the gold in men’s 50m rifle 3P. With a score of 455.6, beating many experienced shooters.

Anjum Mudgil won India’s first Silver in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3P.

On the other hand, Jeetu Rai won bronze in 10m air pistol while Mehuli Ghosh, Deepak Kumar and Ravi Kumar won bronze in 10m air rifle events.

Another teen shooter—Anish Bhanwala—finished 3rd in the Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol qualifiers.
