2017 was undoubtedly a year that saw many highs and lows. In the world of sports alone, the Indian cricket team (both men’s and women’s) soared to new heights but at the same time, they were not able to win any World Cup. People all over the world welcomed 2018 by partying hard and flooding social media with their pictures, videos and wishes. Meanwhile, we came across several posts where our Indian sports stars expressed how they spent time in bidding adieu to 2017 and welcoming 2018.
Starting with Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu who had a fun time with her Premier Badminton League’s (PBL) Chennai Smashers squad. She went to watch a film and later, shared a group selfie.
Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli is currently in South Africa and celebrated the New Year’s Eve with his wife Anushka Sharma.
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was seen in a completely different avatar when it came to celebrating the New Year’s Eve. In a video he shared on Instagram, he could be seen cooking chicken for his friends.
Indian female wrestler Geeta Phogat made the day special by spending it with her husband Pawan Kumar and the caption which she shared the photo with is simply amazing.
‘Gabbar’ of the Indian cricket team was with his family in South Africa. While sharing the pictures on social media, Shikhar Dhawan asked his fans to “make a resolution to stay fit & healthy this year”.
