MS Dhoni runs at 31 kmph during 2nd T20I vs Australia -- Watch Video

MS Dhoni proves again why he is so very valuable for any team

Mahendra Singh Dhoni sets a unique world record by runnings between the wickets at 31 kmph. This is phenomenal for a person who is in the twilight of his career and questions were raised about his fitness levels in the recent past. MS Dhoni is the most successful captain for India ever. He is the one who led India to its World Cup triumph in 2011. MS Dhoni has been in sublime form recently, since the Sri Lanka series, he has been setting new records at will. But this certainly happens to be a unique record, according to media reports. The 36-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman seems to be like wine, getting better with age. The skipper of the Indian team Virat Kohli puts a lot of emphasis on fitness and running between the wickets. The second T20I against Australia in Guwahati saw Dhoni set a personal record when it comes to picking up those quick runs on the 22 yards.

Dhoni has his own style and persona where he manages to remain as cool as a cucumber during the most crunch times.

In a video released by Star Sports on their Twitter handle, MSD can be seen scampering to complete two runs against Australia in the match held on October, 11, it is as if he is a sprinter! While he’s always been known to push for quick singles and convert the two’s into three’s, this particular scamper created a new record for Dhoni.

Meanwhile, Australia managed to win the 2nd T20I by 8 wickets to keep their hopes alive and force a decider. The decider will be played on October 13 in Hyderabad.

The match promises to be a run fest and a thriller for sure!
