MS Dhoni, will be laying under a new captain during the Sri Lanka limited overs cricket as Virat Kohli has been granted rest and Rohit Sharma will lead

It seems like former greats Harbhajan Singh and VVS Laxman are divided over MS Dhoni’s future in cricket in respect to the 2019 cricket World Cup. MS Dhoni is currently not a part of the Indian cricket team in whites. He will soon be featuring in the One Day Internationals and T20Is that follow after the 3-Test match series versus Sri Lanka. There has been a lot of debating over MS Dhoni’s future. For example, VVS Laxman feels Dhoni will certainly be a part of team India 2019 cricket World Cup plans, but Harbhajan Singh feels otherwise. “One year is a lot and in Indian cricket, there are a lot of changes every day. Experience is there but form and everything matters. Dhoni is a big player but (the) World Cup is far off and Dhoni has to keep performing to be a part of the 11,” said Harbhajan speaking to AajTak.

“I don’t think Kohli is protecting Dhoni. He’s above all that and he has a very important role to play in the 2019 World Cup. Kohli is handling Dhoni very well; much like (how) Sourav handled Sachin when he resigned from captaincy,” Laxman said on the same show.
