FIFA World Cup 2018 Official Song: Sung by Nicky Jam, 'Live It Up' features legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho, Will Smith and Era Istrefi

The official song for the FIFA World Cup 2018, which is being held in Russia, has been unveiled. Titled ‘Live it up’, the 3:57-minute long song features Will Smith and Era Istrefi. Sung by Nicky Jam, the song also features legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho.

FIFA unveiled the song on their official Twitter handle and wrote: “It’s time to #LiveItUp, with the Official Song of the 2018 #WorldCup Russia!”

The song, however, failed to mesmerise Twitteratis as they called the song the ‘worst in the WC history’. They claimed that 2010 WC official song “Waka Waka” was the best till date. The song was sung by Colombian pop star Shakira.

Meanwhile, the trio—Smith, Istrefi and Ronaldinho—will also perform ‘Live It Up’ in front of spectators before the World Cup final in Moscow on July 15.

The 32-day long tournament will kick-start on June 14 when host Russia would take on Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The curtain for the 2018 World Cup will be raised with a glittering opening ceremony.

Robbie Williams and Russian operatic soprano Aida Garifullina are among the 500 local artists, including dancers, gymnasts and trampolinists, who will perform in the opening ceremony.
