Hima Das has secured first division in her Assam Higher Secondary exams, even though a month before exams she was training in Turkey. Her coaches wanted her to sit for the exams after the 2020 Olympics but Hima insisted on sitting for it now.

“Hima would come to Dhing to sit for the exam then head back to Guwahati to study during the gaps between two subjects”, says Ranjit Das, Hima’s father.
After her exams, Hima participated in the Federation Cup in Patiala, winning gold in 400m. She is currently training in Turkey for the World Championships in Doha in September-October. All the best to our champ!
