India beat Pakistan by 203 runs at Christchurch in the U-19 World Cup semi-final clash. But the moment that caught all cricket lovers’ attention was when a Pakistan U-19 cricketer walked up to Shubman Gill, the Man of the Match and tied his shoelaces. India and Pakistan do not have a cordial history but it was the sport of cricket that gave India and Pakistan cricket fans a moment to cherish. The moment celebrated sportsman spirit in the highest form.

Earlier in the day, Prithvi Shaw won the toss and chose to bat on a good Christchurch wicket. India got off to a solid start as the openers put on an 81-run stand before India U-19 lost its first wicket. Shubman Gill then took charge and smashed a brilliant 102* off 94 balls. His innings was laced with 7 boundaries and he brought up his ton of the penultimate ball of the innings.

India set Pakistan a target of 273, but the Pakistani batting line-up folded for a paltry 69. For India, Porel was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 4 wickets.
