Currently, Sehwag is spending time with the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) franchise as the mentor and is responsible for taking every cricket related decisions in the camp. He was one of the prime members of the KXIP think-tank during the mega auctions held earlier this year. He helped the owners of the camp, including Preity Zinta, select a team which could reach the knockout stages of the tournament.
