Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on Rajasthan Royals in their season opener and both the teams will vie for an early win despite having faced initial difficulties. Both David Warner and Steve Smith will be missing from the Sunrisers Hyderabad unit and Rajasthan Royals respectively, being banned owing to the ball-tampering saga. Both were originally supposed to lead their sides but because of their involvement in the infamous ball-tampering row, both will not be playing. So, that means, both the franchises will look to get their combinations in place. That is what will make tonight’s clash all the more interesting.
Warner, who has been associated with the franchise from 2014, has been essential in giving the team great results. He scored 528 runs for them that season and followed it up with 562 runs in 2015. Warner, then, led the team to their IPL title in 2016. He was the leading scorer in the tournament, having scored 848 runs. Warner is passionate for the Orange Army in the past as he regularly tweets about them and expresses his insight and opinion for the youngsters, even if he is not playing.
As a new SRH unit get ready for another season, Warner has a motivational message for the team. He took to his Twitter account to wish the team the best of luck, ahead of their clash with the Royals.
