IPL 2018: Arjun Tendulkar Undergoes 1-Month Long Intense Training Session In Dharamsala

All the cricketers including attending this camp have to go through a tough routine during this training session

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, is currently sweating out at the training camp at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala. The camp has been arranged by the National Cricket Academy which will continue for almost a month.

According to several media reports, a group of 25 U-19 cricketers has arrived at Dharamsala to take part in this camp and Arjun is one of them. It has also been learned from the reports that the training session commences early in the morning around 6 am and concludes late in the evening.

Speaking of Arjun’s presence and the intensity of this camp, the official spokesperson of the HPCA Sanjay Sharma said,

“Arjun Tendulkar has been practicing cricket here and was going through a tough routine. It is a month-long camp which will conclude around 20th of May. He was staying with other 25 under-19 cricketers at the stadium complex only.”

According to the report, Sachin would be visiting Dharamsala to visit his son in the first week of May.

Ahead of attending this camp, Arjun was spotted bowling at the Mumbai Indians practice session in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Before MI’s clash with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), junior Tendulkar bowled some deliveries to MI skipper Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, the left-arm brewing speedster also got some lessons from MI bowling consultant Lasith Malinga on yorker bowling.

Earlier in the month of January, Arjun made the headlines after his all-round performance in Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge in Australia organised by Sydney Cricket Ground. He picked up 4 wickets with his left-arm fast bowling and scored a quickfire knock of 48 runs from just 27 balls.
