Glenn Maxwell loses his cool at Umpire despite hitting a six off a full toss in BBL — WATCH

Glenn Maxwell had a good day on the field as he remained unbeaten for 31 and pulled off an absolute screamer in the second innings

Glenn Maxwell recently lost his cool at the Umpire during the Big Bash League (BBL) 2017-18 match between Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars.

The incident took place on the last ball of the 18th over. Dwayne Bravo bowled a full toss on the leg side as he came round the wicket to Maxwell. The 29-year-old was quick to pounce on it as he flicked it over the long leg boundary for a maximum. However, Maxwell was not happy at the square leg umpire for not calling it no-ball as he believed it was above waist height.

Maxwell did not hold back his emotions as he was quite animated in his gestures towards the umpire.

Here’s the video of the incident:

Maxwell did well with the bat as he helped his team post a fighting total of 167 for 4 which is their highest score in this season. He scored 31 runs off 16 balls at the strike rate of 193.75 including two fours and 2 sixes.

He was brilliant in the field as well taking the catch of Tim Ludeman at the point position. Maxi got hold of it in the second attempt. He got his right hand to it first but the ball did not stick, in the second attempt he pulled off an amazing catch to change the game in the powerplay overs.

Maxwell is currently out of the Australian limited-overs side which was recently announced. Even after Chris Lynn was ruled out of the series against England due to an injury, he could not make it into the side because the skipper Steven Smith had other reservations.
