The stage is all set for the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 where the arch-rivals India is all set to take on Pakistan in London on June 18. Ahead of the game, Indian skipper Virat Kohli interacted with the media personnel and once again stated that it’s just another game for us. He asserted that it may look big as India vs Pakistan in the finals but for them, it’s just another game of cricket tomorrow, whatever the result they have to go forward and play more games after that.

On the other Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed and coach Mickey Arthur also attended the pre-match press conference. Both of them stated that the squad is totally excited to play tomorrow’s game despite the pressure. When asked about the performance of the youngsters, Mickey Arthur said,”The youngsters have been great. They have come up so bravely to play a good cricket for all of us. If we could do our basics well we can defeat India tomorrow.”

Speaking about the difference acquired by the Pak team after winning last few games, the coach said,”We have improved ourselves in all the field. We have improved ourselves in batting, bowling and fielding and we hope the best tomorrow. After the India game, we prepared ourselves technically. That was something for which we were not prepared.”

The media personnel also asked skipper Sarfraz for his opinion on the fixing remarks made by former Pakistani Aamer Sohail. To this, Sarfraz replied and said,”It’s Aamer’s personal opinion about whatever he said. I would like to thank Almighty Allah that we are in finals. We have been playing good cricket in the previous games and we will play with intent against India in the Finals.”

Speaking about the type of mindset they would carry against India, Sarfraz said it would be totally attacking. He said,”After losing the game against India, we shifted our track and have been attacking the field. Our batsmen have also gained the form back and are doing really well. The momentum what we have been carrying will be continued and we’ll try to play the positive cricket again.”

Sarfraz also spoke about the pressure ahead of the big game against India. He said,”Pressure is always there in India vs Pakistan game. But the way our bowlers have made a comeback is tremendous. We took wickets in the death overs against Pakistan and we’ll try again to pick wickets and play a balanced game against India.”

“I thank our country for supporting us in this tournament. We have tried many youngsters in the tournament and they have performed well in big tournaments. As far as weather is concerned, that will not be an issue for both the teams.” Sarfraz added.

On the strategy for tomorrow’s game, Sarfraz said,”Pakistan was not that good while chasing in recent times: Our strategy changes game by game. The wickets here are good and batting friendly. So ahead of the game, there will be another strategy and will play accordingly.”

For the first time in the history of ICC Champions Trophy, India and Pakistan will face each other on June 18 in London. India defeated Bangladesh and reached the finals while Pakistan eliminated England and were the side to enter the finals.
